Update on head-on crash: One driver arrested, benefit planned for another driver with severe injuries

In mid-May, a four-year-old child and two drivers were injured in a head-on crash involving three vehicles near Midland. One of the drivers suffered severe injuries and has shared info about her recovery – a benefit is planned to help the family of six. The other driver was arrested this week, accused of crossing the center line while driving with amphetamines and THC in his system at the time of the crash.

GCSD reports no injuries in Monday morning semi rollover crash

The ramp from State Road 445 onto I-69 southbound in eastern Greene County was closed for a few hours Monday after a semi-tractor and trailer rollover crash at 10:34 a.m. Deputies from the Greene County Sheriff’s Department responded along with personnel from the Indiana State Police, Center-Jackson Fire Department, the Greene County Ambulance Service and Bland Towing. GCSD Deputy James Carpeter, the investigating officer, reported no injuries.
