Fred Richard Lammert, Jr. 61, of Linton, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2026 at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born April 9, 1965 in Indianapolis, he was the son of Fred Richard Lammert and Linda Louise (Mattox) Lammert Baker. He graduated from L&M High School in Lyons.

Fred found joy in riding and working on his Harley-Davidson, spending time with his grandchildren, and being surrounded by the friends and family he loved deeply. He enjoyed collecting antiques, woodworking and taking on outdoor projects. He also had a special love for his cats, who were an important part of his life.

He was also known for his wonderful sense of humor and his infectious booming laugh- qualities that brought warmth and happiness to everyone around him.

Surviving relatives include: one daughter, Jennifer Lammert; one son, Fred Richard Lammert III; his siblings, Edward Dale Lammert, Angela Renee Rennick and Kimberly Sue Nickless; and six grandchildren.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents.

Public visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Lyons.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 2, 2026 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Lyons. Interment will follow in Marco Cemetery.

The family asks that any memorial contributions be made to Edward Lammert or Angela Rennick to assist with final expenses.
