Vigo County - This morning, Saturday, June 12, 2021, the two persons of interest in the Carlisle shooting, which occurred on June 10, 2021, have been located. Matthew T. Earle and Kyle R. Johnson were taken into custody after a search warrant was executed at a residence in the 1700 block of S. 12th St. in Terre Haute………. UPDATE with bonds: The Indiana State Police, along with the Sullivan County Prosecutor’s Office, continue to collect and analyze evidence related to this crime. The preliminary charges are merely probable cause to make an arrest. Formal charges will be determined by the Sullivan County Prosecutor upon a full review of the evidence, at which time it is anticipated further charges will be added. Both Kyle R. Johnson and Matthew T. Earle are currently incarcerated and being held on a $30,000 bond with no 10%. Again, this an active and ongoing investigation.

The women were taken into custody after being involved in a crash with a Jackson County Sheriff’s Deputy in Scott County, Indiana.

DOJ Southern District of Indiana: Former Ohio police chief indicted in machine gun scheme with two Indiana gun dealers

Indianapolis – Acting U.S. Attorney John E. Childress announced today that Dorian LaCourse, 65, of Milford, Ohio, was indicted by a federal grand jury for his role in a scheme to use his position as Chief of Police for the Addyston Police Department in Addyston, Ohio, to help two federally licensed firearms dealers in Indiana acquire hundreds of machine guns. LaCourse was indicted on charges of conspiracy and making false statements to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF). Childress also announced today that the two Indiana gun dealers, Johnathan Marcum, 33, of Laurel, Indiana, and Christopher Petty, 57, of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, have been charged with conspiracy for their roles in the machine gun scheme.
