Chase involving officers from seven agencies ends with arrest

It started in Linton. A driver failed to pull over for a traffic stop then led officers on a cross-county chase though Switz City, Bloomfield and eastern Greene County, then onto I-69, and back off of I-69. By the time he ended up at the bottom of an embankment in Daviess County, he was surrounded by officers from four police departments from two counties, deputies from two sheriff’s departments and the Indiana State Police.

Two women were taken into custody early yesterday after police arrived at a home in Linton to arrest one woman wanted on three warrants. The second woman said she had not seen the wanted woman for two weeks because she was in Illinois, but officers found her hiding in a closet.

After being sentenced to six years in a meth case in Sullivan County yesterday morning, a defendant was transported to Greene County and booked into the Greene County Jail. When he appeared in court today, he was charged with another felony for allegedly dealing meth in Greene County.
