Two warrants have been out for the arrest of a man accused of dealing methamphetamine who didn't bother to show up at his own jury trial in November and was a no-show at a pretrial conference in another drug case. He was taken into custody late Tuesday night when LPD officers responded to a domestic disturbance. Officers reported he was in possession of more meth and marijuana and now he has three drug cases pending against him.
A week-long search for a local fugitive, led by officers from the Linton Police Department with assistance from multiple law enforcement agencies, resulted in yesterday’s apprehension of convicted meth dealer Eric S. Cullum, 36, Linton.
UPDATE: Eric Cullum is in custody at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department. He was apprehended and brought in early this morning from Sullivan County and at 6:45 a.m., he was in the process of being booked in to the Greene County Jail.
A warrant was issued yesterday for the arrest of Eric Cullum, 36, Linton, formerly Lyons, after he failed to show up for the second day of his trial by jury for dealing meth.
According to Chief Paul Clark of the Linton Police Department, Cullum is now a fugitive from justice and Greene County CrimeStoppers is offering a reward for information that leads to his apprehension and arrest. Anyone with information about Cullum’s whereabouts is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 812-847-5463. Callers may remain anonymous.
A Linton man arrested in Sullivan County over the weekend is accused of leaving the scene of an accident, driving under the influence of a controlled substance and meth possession. He was already in trouble in Greene County and out on bond in two criminal cases for alleged drug dealing. Now his bond may be revoked and a warrant’s been issued for his arrest in Greene County, but he’s still in the Sullivan County Jail for now.
UPDATE: When Ferree appeared in Greene Superior Court for his initial hearing via two-way video on Tuesday, September 28, his bond was set at $80,000 with ten percent cash allowed. Ferree was represented by an attorney from Indianapolis. He has since posted $8,000 and been released from custody.
A warrant was issued yesterday for the arrest of a Linton man accused of dealing quantities of methamphetamine and heroin and he was taken into custody this afternoon. He’s been the focus of an ongoing investigation for several months by officers from the Linton Police Department and Greene County Drug Task Force and now has two criminal cases pending against him, both involving Level 2 felony drug charges. LPD Chief Paul Clark said the arrest was made at the suspect’s residence in Linton without incident early this afternoon by LPD officers, Greene County Sheriff’s Deputies and members of the Greene County Drug Task Force. Chief Clark expressed appreciation for the cooperation and assistance from all agencies involved in the investigation and arrest.
Another individual was arrested and charged when officers from the Greene County Drug Task Force, the Indiana State Police, Greene County Sheriff’s Department, Linton Police Department and Jasonville Police Department showed up a residence in eastern Greene County in a recent string of drug busts that have dealt a blow to a stream of methamphetamine, cocaine and heroin into the county.
After a weeks-long investigation, officers of the Greene County Drug Task Force and an investigator from the Greene County Prosecutor’s Office arrested a suspected methamphetamine dealer last August. She was charged with several felonies in two criminal cases and was held in lieu of $100,000 total bond. Her case concluded on May 18 when she was sentenced to prison. She’s now in DOC custody with a projected release date in August of 2029.
UPDATE with more BOND INFO: When James Myers appeared in Greene Superior Court yesterday for his initial hearing, his bond was set at $50,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed. He has not yet posted bond and remains in the Greene County Jail, because he’s being held without bond in another meth case where a petition to revoke his bond has been filed due to violating the terms of bond release.………….
