UPDATE with more BOND INFO: When James Myers appeared in Greene Superior Court yesterday for his initial hearing, his bond was set at $50,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed. He has not yet posted bond and remains in the Greene County Jail, because he’s being held without bond in another meth case where a petition to revoke his bond has been filed due to violating the terms of bond release.

When members of the Greene County Task Force swooped in with a search warrant for a Lyons residence early last Friday, they seized over 60 grams of methamphetamine, an assortment of pills and drug-dealing supplies plus cash, and they arrested four individuals plus another person taken into custody during an earlier traffic stop.

After Jonathan Michael Robertson, 23, Springville, was arrested early last Friday, May 14, a search warrant was issued for a residence in Lyons and four other individuals were arrested and booked into the Greene County Jail that same morning.

Eric S. Cullum, 35, and Shiv-Jhon Nichole Butt, 33, and James Steven Myers, Jr., 53, all from Lyons, and JanMichael Pfaff, 42, Switz City, were all arrested by Officer Bobby Pierce of the Linton Police Department early Friday, May 14.

Officer Pierce, a member of the Greene County Drug Task Force, said a couple of individuals currently residing in the Lyons area, Eric Cullum and Shiv-Jhon Butt, have been subjects of ongoing investigations in regard to illegal drug activity over the past few years and that several people have been arrested in the past for methamphetamine possession immediately after they left the Cullum-Butt residence.

In the past month, Task Force officers had developed evidence that methamphetamine was being sold from the Cullum-Butt residence on West Prairie Street in Lyons and the residence was currently under surveillance by the Task Force last Thursday, May 13, when a pickup truck left the driveway of the residence. Officers continued their surveillance of the vehicle as it left the area. A traffic stop was conducted in Switz City and Robertson was arrested for methamphetamine possession.

As a result of the information and evidence obtained during this incident, as well as other evidence recently obtained, a search warrant was issued out of Greene Circuit Court for Cullum and Butt’s residence. Other evidence developed included information received from an informant, messages regarding deals between Cullum and another individual uncovered during the execution of a search warrant for a Facebook account, and physical evidence of over 10 grams of methamphetamine that was allegedly sold by Cullum to a witness. The search warrant was executed last Friday, May 14, resulting in the arrests of Cullum, Butt, Myers and Pfaff.

The search warrant was executed at 4:08 a.m. Friday when officers from the Greene County Drug Task Force and deputies from the Greene County Sheriff’s Department arrived at the Cullum-Butt residence. They knocked but there was no answer. The door was unlocked. They entered, loudly announced their presence but there was no answer. Cullum, Pfaff and Myers were then located inside an attached garage, and Butt was located in a far back bedroom. All were detained. Officers also located three juveniles in the residence in their own bedrooms.

Officer Alan Jackson of the Linton Police Department, a member of the Greene County Drug Task Force, reported that prior to a safety pat-down, Pfaff admitted he had a syringe in a pocket of his pants. The syringe was seized. The contents tested positive for methamphetamine. In addition, a pill identified as amphetamine and dextroamphetamine, a controlled substance, was found in Pfaff’s cigarette package.

During a safety pat-down of Myers, Officer Jackson reported finding a small bag of prescription pills that were identified as acetaminophen and hydrocodone bitartrate, a controlled substance. Myers was also found in possession of a zip bag containing a white crystal substance, a gum wrapper containing a white crystal substance and two more pills identified as amphetamine and dextroamphetamine.

Pfaff denied the cigarette package belonged to him. Myers allegedly admitted the items found on him were his.

Officer Andrew Duguay of the Jasonville Police Department, a member of the Greene County Drug Task Force, reported that during a safety pat-down of Cullum, he was found with a black digital scale in a pocket. The scale contained white crystal residue.

Officer Pierce reported that during a search of the residence, officers found a clear plastic bottle with a white crystal substance that weighed 9.55 grams; a smoking device that contained white residue; a zip bag containing a white crystal substance that field-tested positive as methamphetamine that weighed 6.52 grams; another zip bag containing a powdery off-white substance that also field-tested positive as methamphetamine with a weight of 47.49 grams; several small zip bags and another digital scale; a zip bag containing 36.5 small round pills identified as amphetamine and dextroamphetamine – Cullum later admitted that he did not have a prescription for these pills; four zip bags containing a green leafy plant material; multiple items of paraphernalia and plastic bags, some clean, some with residue; and another smoking device containing white residue.

Officers also located $2,904 in cash stored in boxes in a bedroom, believed to be money obtained by Cullum and Butt through illegal distribution and sales of controlled substances.

At one point, when she was preparing to be transported to jail, Butt allegedly said that she did this to herself and it was her fault she was going to be charged. But she declined to answer questions about items found in the residence.

When Cullum was questioned, he allegedly admitted to possession of methamphetamine but he denied the pills and marijuana belonged to him.

All four were booked into the Greene County Jail between 6 and 9 a.m. Friday.

All four are being held without bond pending court appearances.

Charges filed against Eric Cullum in Greene Circuit Court include:

Dealing in methamphetamine in an amount of 10 or more grams, a Level 2 felony,
Dealing in methamphetamine in an amount of 10 or more grams, a Level 2 felony,
Maintaining a common nuisance – involving controlled substances, a Level 6 felony,
Possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor, and
Possession of a controlled substance, a Class A misdemeanor.

Charges filed against Shiv-Jhon Butt in Greene Circuit Court include:

Dealing in methamphetamine in an amount of 10 or more grams, a Level 2 felony,
Maintaining a common nuisance – involving controlled substances, a Level 6 felony,
Possession of a controlled substance, a Class A misdemeanor,
Possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor, and
Possession of paraphernalia, a Class C misdemeanor.

Charges filed against James Myers in Greene Superior Court include:
