New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Friday, Oct. 23, 2026: 

Oct. 22, 11:10 a.m., James Travis Weddle, 60, homeless, was arrested on a warrant for leaving the scene of a property damage crash. His bond was set at $5,000 surety with 10% cash allowed. 

Oct. 22, 10:08 p.m., Linda Renell Sherrill, 48, Worthington, was arrested on preliminary charges of vehicle theft, unauthorized entry of a vehicle, resisting law enforcement, refusal to aid an officer, and resisting law enforcement using a vehicle. Her bond was set at $13,500 surety with 10% cash allowed. 

Oct. 22, 10:49 p.m., Christopher Alan Smith, 55, Sullivan, was arrested on a preliminary charge of driving while suspended with a prior suspension within 10 years. His bond was set at $1,000 surety with 10% cash allowed. He was released after posting $100.
