Scott Alan Miller, 62, of Newberry, Indiana, passed away on Friday, October 16, 2026, at his home. He was born on March 21, 1964, in Linton, Indiana to Chester L. ‘Chet’ and Alberta R. (Dowden) Miller. Scott married Donna Lee (Sexton) Miller on May 2, 1984, and after her passing, he married Jennifer R. Tarvin.

Scott was a member of the 2nd Mt. Olive Baptist Church, WVVAA and American Motorcycle Association. He formerly served on the Daviess County Fair Board. Scott was a Master Trooper with the Indiana State Police, retiring in 2024 with 33 years of service. He was an avid lover of sprint car and dirt bike racing.

Family left to cherish the memories of Scott include one daughter, Nicole (Marc) Andrews; two sons, Seth (Melissa) Miller and Lane (Miranda) Miller; eight grandchildren, Kollin (Kendall) Andrews, Corey Andrews, Coltyn Andrews, Aubriella Andrews, Ava Miller, Alivia Miller, Scarlett Miller and Beckett Miller; great-granddaughter, Karsyn Andrews; brother, Rod (Christine) Miller of Indianapolis and sister, Susan (Mike) Waters of Liberty, IL.

Scott was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Donna Lee Miller.

Funeral services to honor the life of Scott will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon with Gavin Wilson officiating. Scott will be laid to rest with the Miller family at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Lyons following services by the Indiana State Police Honor Guard.

Family and friends may gather from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM on Saturday at the funeral home.
