Read MoreThe Indiana Department of Transportation announces lane and ramp closures for I-69 in Greene County. Beginning on or around Wednesday, June 10, crews will begin lane closures on I-69 near Crane. The lane closures will occur over U.S. 231.
Alternating lane closures will allow for minor patching and bridge deck overlay work. One lane of traffic will remain open in both directions. Beginning on or around Saturday, June 13, crews will begin ramp closures from I-69 to U.S. 231 near Crane. These ramp closures will occur on the northbound I-69 to U.S. 231 ramp and the U.S. 231 to the southbound I-69 ramps.
Ramp closures will allow for minor patching and bridge deck overlay work. One ramp will be closed at a time, with one ramp being closed per weekend. The official detour for these weekend ramp closures are I-69 NB to State Road 45 to I-69 SB. Work on both projects is expected to last through July, depending on the weather. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones.

William Joseph “Bill” Maden, 88, of Bloomfield, IN. passed away peacefully at home on August 21, 2026. He was born in Linton, IN July 28, 1938, the son of William Oscar Maden and Edith M. (Weaver) Maden.
Richard Scott Lawson, also known as "Red", passed away suddenly on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at his home in rural Bloomfield, near Worthington. He was born in Indianapolis on May 2, 1965, the son of Richard K. and Billie (Reed) Lawson.
