William Joseph “Bill” Maden, 88, of Bloomfield, IN. passed away peacefully at home on August 21, 2026. He was born in Linton, IN July 28, 1938, the son of William Oscar Maden and Edith M. (Weaver) Maden.

Bill dedicated 35 years to the carpenters union and in his free time, he enjoyed fishing, watching sporting events, spending time with family, and creating immaculate LEGO creations. He took pride in the things he built and cherished the time he spent with the people he loved.

Bill is survived by his wife, Connie Maden, brother, Robert Newton Lewis Jr., stepdaughter, Melody Moody, son, William Maden (Gelian), daughters; Nancy (Maden) Jerrell, Billye Jo Maden, 6 grandchildren; Megan Greenwood (Nick), Caleb Bays (Megan Sutt),Cody Bays, Tory Fields , Nikolas Maden and Blake Wilbur and 7 great grandchildren; Caden, Case, Campbell, Brynnlee, Isabella, Drauna, and Nakoa. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his stepfather, Robert N. Lewis: and his sister, Carolyn ”Bobbie” Thompson.

Bill will be deeply missed by his family all who knew and loved him. His memory will live on through the family he loved, the memories they shared, and the many things he built and left behind.
