There’s a warrant out for a suspect who’s currently incarcerated in another county. He’s accused of driving into Greene County from up north, stealing a pickup truck and trailer from a Greene County business, loading up his own vehicle on the trailer and driving off. The truck and trailer were recovered in a GCSD investigation.

An inmate at the Greene County Jail was accused of getting into a physical altercation with jail officers in December and was charged with battery with injury, a Level 5 felony, and battery by bodily waste, a Level 6 felony. Last October he was arrested after an altercation with an LPD officer. Now he’s accused of battery to jail officer in another altercation this month. In court yesterday, he declined a public defender and said he will represent himself.

Greene County Clerk Stuart Dowden has announced that the Greene County Clerk is accepting applications/resumes for the full-time position of Chief Deputy Circuit Court Clerk, located in the Greene County courthouse. The duties include, but are not limited to, processing court cases, entering judgments, sending notices, and filing court documents. They also assist phone and counter customers as needed. In addition, they are responsible for all financial bookkeeping, which are reviewed by State Board of Accounts, as well as the State Auditor. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the disappearance of Daniel Horn, a 38 year old white male, 6 feet 3 inches tall, 175 pounds, brown hair with brown eyes, last seen wearing a black jacket, gray pants, and flip flops. He is believed to be driving a light blue 2018 Honda Fit, with an Indiana license plate of 735TP. Daniel is missing from Bloomington, Indiana which is 55 miles south of Indianapolis, and was last seen on Sunday, February 21, 2021 at 5:30 pm.
