Donna Roof, age 82, of Linton, passed away peacefully at 2:05 pm on Friday, December 26, 2025, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born in Linton, IN on July 22, 1943, the daughter of Donald & Lillian (Moss) Johnson.

She was a graduate of Linton Stockton High School. Several years ago she worked as the housekeeping supervisor at Glenburn, but her absolute favorite career in the world was being the best mom and homemaker to her family. She would spend the warm summer days in the sunshine tending to her garden and flowers. When the weather wasn't so nice, she was blessed to spend quality time with her beloved family and enjoyed cooking and baking delicious foods for them all to enjoy.

Dona is survived by her loving daughter, Julie Gibson; grandchildren, Christopher (Ashlyn) Gibson and Jacqlyn Roof; great grandchildren, Elsie Gibson, Landon Gibson and Kamari Potter; brother, Max (Harriet) Morin and sister, Shirley Morin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John "Jack" Roof, Sr.; son, John Roof, Jr. and beloved fur baby, Molly.

A graveside service will be held 1:00 pm at Fairview Cemetery in Linton on Monday, December 29, 2025, with Pastor Nick Moore officiating.
