Donald R. O’Haver, 87, of Linton, Indiana, passed away with family by his side, on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born on April 14, 1938 in Illinois to Guy H. and Pearl Beatrice (Brown) O’Haver. Donald married the love of his life, Ruth E. (Finnegan) O’Haver on April 4, 1964.

Donald was a US Army Veteran and was a retired carpenter. He enjoyed watching the Chicago Blackhawks, Chicago Bears and Women’s soccer. Donald also enjoyed smoking his cigars and pipes, building birdhouses and working puzzles. He was so meticulous about his lawn.

Family left to cherish the memories of Donald include: one daughter, Kathleen Wyrick of Columbus, IN; two grandsons, Joshua (Kaliegh) Marsh and Benjamin Wyrick; great-grandchildren, Kaden Marsh and Rennie Murrell.

Donald was preceded in death by: his parents; his wife, Ruth O’Haver; daughters, Diana Lynn O’Haver and Karen Marie Marsh; brothers, Jack O’Haver and Jerry O’Haver.

Funeral services to honor the life of Donald will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 3, 2025 at Anderson-Poindexter Chapel in Linton with Abram Beck officiating. Donald will be laid to rest in Pleasantville Cemetery.

Family and friends may call from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM on Saturday at the funeral home.
