Owen County Sheriff's Department searching for suspect in shooting

Earlier today, Wednesday, September 29, 2021, deputies with the Owen County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to the area of Upper Cliff Road in Owen County in reference to a male subject who had been shot in the leg. After an initial investigation, it is believed 31-year-old Bobby Forey-Standifer shot 25-year-old Zebediah Featherston from a moving vehicle in the area of State Road 42 and State Road 243. Featherston was transported to IU Health-Bloomington Hospital. His condition is unknown at this time. The suspect, Forey-Standifer (pictured), remains at large. Anybody with information regarding his whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Owen County 911 Emergency Dispatch Center at 812-829-4874. This investigation is ongoing.

UPDATE: A case against a Jasonville man has recently been dismissed. His case was covered in a story on GreeneStreets on Wedneday, September 1. He was charged with two felonies following a domestic incident on August 25 in Linton. In mid-September, the Greene County Prosecutor requested the dismissal in a motion that said the reason was because the alleged victim provided a statement indicating that she lied.

In Custody: Linton man accused of dealing meth and heroin

A warrant was issued yesterday for the arrest of a Linton man accused of dealing quantities of methamphetamine and heroin and he was taken into custody this afternoon. He’s been the focus of an ongoing investigation for several months by officers from the Linton Police Department and Greene County Drug Task Force and now has two criminal cases pending against him, both involving Level 2 felony drug charges. LPD Chief Paul Clark said the arrest was made at the suspect’s residence in Linton without incident early this afternoon by LPD officers, Greene County Sheriff’s Deputies and members of the Greene County Drug Task Force. Chief Clark expressed appreciation for the cooperation and assistance from all agencies involved in the investigation and arrest.

UPDATED with SENTENCING……… In Greene Superior Court, on his 58th birthday, a Bloomfield man was remanded to the custody of the Greene County Sheriff’s Department after a jury found him guilty of public nudity and public indecency. Terry J. Gilmore, a coach and businessman at the time of the incidents, was booked into the Greene County Jail at 2:05 p.m. after the verdicts were returned then was sentenced later in the month.
