Columbus, Indiana - Early this morning, October 18, 2021, a motorcyclist was thrown from his motorcycle after striking a deer on I-65 Northbound near the 62 mile marker in southern Bartholomew County. The motorcyclist was killed and a “Good Samaritan” was seriously injured when they were struck by a second vehicle.

UPDATE: Farmersburg teen and Jasonville man killed in Sunday morning crash in Sullivan County; Jasonville woman seriously injured

UPDATE: Late Sunday, Sullivan County Sheriff Clark Cottom identified the three individuals involved in the fatal crash in Sullivan County on Sunday morning. Mallorie Cochran, 16, Farmersburg, a junior at North Central High School, was the driver of one vehicle. She died from injuries sustained in the crash involving two vehicles. Perry Deschamp, 58, Jasonville, was the driver of the second vehicle. He also died from injuries. Karla Deschamp, 56, Jasonville, was seriously injured but late Sunday was reported to be in stable condition at Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis……….SULLIVAN COUNTY, IN - A two vehicle crash took the lives of two Wabash Valley residents Sunday morning, October 17. Sullivan County Sheriff’s dispatch received a 911 call at 10:27 AM, reporting the accident at the intersection of State Road 48 and County Road 200 E. A 16 year old female, who was the sole occupant of one vehicle, died from injuries sustained in the crash. Early indications are that a 58 year old male was driving the second vehicle.
