Daylight Saving Time ends Sunday, Nov. 2

Don’t forget to set your clocks back one hour before going to bed Saturday, November 1. Daylight Saving Time officially ends at 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 2, when clocks “fall back” one hour. This marks the return to Standard Time and means earlier sunsets and lighter mornings. It’s also a great time to check your smoke detectors, replace batteries, and review your emergency preparedness plans.

Boil order issued for parts of Linton

Linton Municipal Utilities has issued a Boil Order Advisory for the following affected areas until further notice:

  • All customers on Southeast 8th Street (south of the C Street railroad tracks)

  • All customers on Southeast 7th Street (south of the C Street railroad tracks)

  • All customers on Southeast 6th Street (south of Little A Street)

  • All customers on South State Road 59 (south of Base Road)

  • All customers on I Street Southeast

  • All customers on J Street Southeast

  • All customers on L Street Southeast

  • All Base Road customers

  • All customers on Southeast 1st Street

  • All customers on Southeast 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 7th Streets (south of Base Road)

  • All customers on Southeast L, M, N, and O Streets

Residents in these areas are advised to boil all water before using it for drinking, cooking, food preparation, or oral hygiene. Water should be brought to a full boil for at least five minutes before use.
