Hydrant flushing scheduled for Bloomfield and Worthington areas

Eastern Heights Utilities will begin routine hydrant flushing in Bloomfield and Worthington on Monday, October 6. Customers may notice lower-than-normal water pressure and temporary water discoloration during this period. Flushing in rural service areas will follow in the coming weeks.

Hydrant flushing is performed twice a year to clear sediment that naturally builds up in the water system over time. The process also allows crews to inspect hydrants for proper operation and identify maintenance or repair needs to ensure the system continues operating efficiently and safely.
