Linton Police seek public's help in locating missing man

The Linton Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in finding Jerry Stephens Jr., who was last seen Friday morning. According to police, Stephens was last seen around 10 a.m. on September 26 and last heard from at approximately 1 p.m. the same day. He was wearing black pants and a red-and-white flannel shirt when he was last observed. Anyone with information on Stephens’ whereabouts is urged to call the Linton Police Department at 812-847-4411 or contact their local law enforcement agency immediately.

Linton Water Department – Boil Water Advisory Notice

The Linton Water Department will perform scheduled maintenance on the water system beginning Monday, September 22, at 9:00 p.m. The work is expected to be finished by Tuesday, September 23, at 6:00 a.m. During this time, customers may experience low water pressure or a temporary loss of water service. Because of this maintenance, a Boil Water Advisory will be in effect starting 9:00 p.m. on September 22 and will remain in place until water samples are tested and confirmed safe to drink. The advisory is expected to be lifted by Wednesday, September 24, 2025, but an official cancellation notice will be issued once testing is complete. Beginning Sunday, October 5, the Linton Water Department will flush fire hydrants throughout the city. This process will take four consecutive nights to complete.
