The Greene County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a fatal one-vehicle car accident that occurred Wednesday morning on East Ore Branch Road. 

A Martinsville man, who lied to police about his identity and age, was summoned to appear in Greene Superior Court after allegedly taking items without rending payment at the Jasonville Family Dollar Store. 

An Evansville man was arrested on Dec. 11 after failing to appear at his initial hearing in a case involving the theft of several bottles of anti-diarrhea medicine during six stops at a local store. 

A 23-year-old Linton man wanted on a warrant for auto theft after allegedly selling a truck that wasn’t his was arrested on Dec. 7.

A 28-year-old Linton man, previously convicted as a serious violent felon, appeared in court Dec. 7 for an initial hearing on charges of unlawful possession of a firearm, hunting without a license, hunting deer with excess cartridges, and providing false information to a check station following a November incident.
