Sally Jones, age 85, of Linton, passed away peacefully at 6:40 am on Friday, December 6, 2024 . She was born in Chicago, Illinois on October 19, 1939, the daughter of Hubert Racer and Dorothy (Lackey) Racer.

Sally was a 1957 graduate of Pleasantville High School. She worked several years at RCA Factory.

Sally enjoyed playing solitaire on her phone, working word search puzzles, watching tv, playing with her cats, and scratching off lottery tickets.

She was a member of the American Legion Post #22 and the St. Peter Catholic Church in Linton.

She is survived by daughter, Valerie Kepics of Cincinnati Ohio; step- daughter, Sherri Gozzard of Kentucky; grandchildren, Tori (Gavin) Pervis of Cincinnati Ohio, Sean (Meriah) Hegstead of Missouri; great-grandson, Curtis Hegstead; Niece, Rita (Eric) Hagen; Nephew, Mark Griffith of Linton, and several other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Virginia McKee, James Racer, Robert Racer, Bill Racer; and special companion, Donald Fhalerty.

Graveside services will be held at Dugger Cemetery on Friday, December 27, 2024 at 1:30 P.M with the Ladies Auxiliary service to begin. Burial will follow at Dugger Cemetery.
