A 25-year-old Linton man was arrested in the early morning hours of Dec. 2 after allegedly battering and strangling his girlfriend. 

A Dugger man, who escaped from the Greene County Work Release Center on Sept. 4, has been arrested in Greene County following a stint in the Knox County Jail on a warrant for auto theft. 

Update: They have been located. The Greene County Sheriff’s Department is seeking assistance locating two juveniles reported missing at approximately 8 p.m. on Dec. 4 from Open Arms in Bloomfield. 

A 38-year-old Linton man was arrested Nov. 22 on a handful of felony charges, including unlawful carrying of a handgun with a prior felony conviction within the last 15 years, intimidation, battery by means of a deadly weapon, and possession of methamphetamine. 

A Bloomfield woman was arrested Nov. 26 on three separate charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated after backing into a vehicle in her driveway with more than the legal limit of alcohol in her system. 

Greene County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) is busy planning its annual Voices for Kids open house and silent auction, scheduled for next month. 

A 37-year-old Solsberry woman was arrested Nov. 21 on a warrant for dog bite liability two of her dogs bite a woman who was taking a walk.  

UPDATE: She has been located.

The Greene County Sheriff’s Department is seeking help in locating a 15-year-old missing juvenile who is believed to have run away. 

At approximately 8:30 p.m. on Nov. 26, deputies were called to Open Arms in Switz City to help locate Lillian Waters. According to a press release from the Greene County Sheriff’s Department, the teen was last seen wearing black pants, a dark t-shirt, and cream-colored Hey Dude shoes. She was also carrying a gray blanket and a flashlight. She’s approximately 5 feet 3 inches tall with long brown hair and blue eyes. She had a heart tattoo on her left hand. 

It is unknown if Waters was traveling on foot or by vehicle. She does not have access to her phone and may require medical attention.

Greene County Sheriff’s Department at 812-384-4411. Deputy Michael Stanley is the investigating officer.  

A 20-year-old Jasonville man is being held in Greene County Jail on a $20,000 surety-only bond following a Nov. 10 arrest on multiple drug charges. 

Thanksgiving is a time for families to gather. However, with more people on the roadways, there is a greater potential for crashes. That is why the Indiana State Police is joining law enforcement agencies from across the state to make sure everyone gets to their destination safely. 

A 44-year-old Linton woman appeared in Greene Superior Court on Nov. 13 for an initial hearing on several drug and alcohol-related charges stemming from a Nov. 4 incident. 

A 19-year-old Bloomfield woman appeared in Greene Superior Court on Nov. 14 for an initial hearing on charges of strangulation and domestic battery resulting in moderate bodily injury stemming from a Nov. 9 incident in Bloomfield. 

According to a press release from the Greene County Commissioners, Greene County is under a burn ban.

A Pineville, La., man appeared in Greene Superior Court Nov. 13 following a Nov. 6 arrest on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and possession of paraphernalia. 

There will be no Jail Log or court news today as county offices are closed in observance of Veterans Day.
