Theresa C. Esguerra

Theresa C. Esguerra, age 73, passed away peacefully at 7:00 AM on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at her home in Linton, with her devoted husband by her side. Born on February 29, 1952, in Panabo, Davao Norte, Philippines, she was a cherished daughter of Francisco and Leonora (Villaluz) Consolacion. From her earliest days, Theresa was known for her gentle spirit, quiet strength, and unwavering dedication to those she loved.

Theresa earned her BS Pharm from Centro Escolar University (CEU) in the Philippines, where she developed not only a strong professional foundation, but a deep sense of responsibility to care for others. After marrying the love of her life, Dr. Paul R. Esguerra, MD, she courageously left her homeland and built a new life in the United States, eventually settling in Linton, Indiana. Together, Theresa and Paul poured their hearts into Esguerra Medical Practice, where she faithfully managed the office for many years, greeting patients with warmth, kindness, and a reassuring smile.

More than her work, Theresa's greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted wife to Paul for 52 years; a loving mother to her two children, Micheline Esguerra, Esq. and Dr. Francis (Tori) Esguerra; and a proud grandmother to Grayson, Gabrielle, and Griffin, who were the light of her life. Theresa is also lovingly remembered by her brother, Francisco Consolacion, Jr. and her sister, Fides Woods.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Samuel Consolacion. Her family takes comfort in knowing she is now reunited with them in peace.

A funeral service celebrating Theresa's life will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home of Walton Funeral Service at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 6, 2025, with Pastor Eugene Helms officiating.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 5:00 - 8:00 PM, and on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of service.

She will be laid to rest near her parents in the Philippines.

Family and friends are invited to share memories, offer prayers, and honor a life marked by devotion, service, and quiet grace. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.welchcornett.com.
