Madge Marie (Nichols) Jordan

Madge Marie (Nichols) Jordan, 96, of Bloomfield, passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2025 at her residence in Bloomfield.

Born December 15, 1928 in Lyons, Indiana, she was the daughter of John Luther and Flossie (Wright) Nichols.

Madge was a homemaker. She also worked for the Purdue Extension office and had her own upholstery business. She was an avid sports fan, she never missed the Pacers, Colts, or her Purdue Boilermakers. Often she could be found sewing, gardening, canning, or tending to her flowers. She was a member of the Prairie Chapel United Methodist Church and the Furnace Homemakers club.

Surviving relatives include: her children, Joe Jordan, Judy Wise (Ron) and Jeanne Gee; her grandchildren, Jarrod Skinner, Shandi Sheets, Nathan Skinner, Timi Jo Thompson, Tiffany Harrell, Tiera Jordan, J.T. Jordan, Jacey Jordan, Jordan Goldhagen and Blake Gillenwater; great grandchildren, Brycen Skinner, Rocky Thompson, Haley Thompson, Duke Thompson, Harper Harrell, Piper Harrell, Mailee Sheets, Myla Sheets, Sophia Skinner and Olivia Skinner; her siblings, Barbara Southern, Kay Allen and Gary Nichols.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Max Jordan on August 22, 2020, one daughter, Janie Skinner, siblings, Patricia Edwards, Jo Hilterbrand, Miriam Rollison, Maxine Farris, Berniece Myers, Bob Nichols, Bill Nichols and Ruby Stafford.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 29, 2025 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Rev. Jim Roach officiating. Interment will follow in Prairie Chapel Cemetery.

Public visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday and 1 hour prior to services on Saturday at the funeral home.

The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association.
