Terry Lee McCulloch
/Terry Lee McCulloch, 85, of Worthington, Indiana, passed away peacefully in his home on November 20, 2025. Born November 15, 1940, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Terry was the beloved son of the late James McCulloch and Beualah Bemis.
Terry led a life of service. He was a proud and dedicated veteran, who served honorably in the U.S. Navy and retired with 22 years of service. During his naval career, Terry sailed the world over on various destroyer-class ships and traversed the United States as well. While serving, Terry met Sarah Salazar, who he married, and who lovingly supported Terry, and their eventual family, during those global adventures. Terry and Sarah were ultimately blessed with 61 years of marriage.
Terry's life of service continued well after his Naval retirement. He continued to serve his country by way of a civilian appointment with the Navy, which he ultimately retired from. Terry also served his community in various roles throughout the years participating in the PTA, volunteering at polling stations, and serving as a color guard member for military funerals. Terry also proudly served as the Commander of American Legion Post 106 in Worthington, Indiana Post for a time, serving fellow veterans and their families.
Terry was an avid sports and outdoor enthusiast. He enjoyed playing golf, hunting, and fishing, and was well known as an outstanding bowler. A gregarious soul who truly never met a stranger, Terry had a quick wit, a fondness for a good joke, and a gentleness in his eyes that instantly drew people to him. However, Terry will be most fondly remembered for his kind heart and his love for his family.
Terry is survived by his wife Sarah, their daughters Tina, Lynda, and Samantha, and his sister Vicki Ray. He will forever be cherished and remembered by his three grandchildren, John, Joseph, and Joshua.
