Joan Bland

Joan Bland, 88, of Solsberry passed away Monday November 24, 2025 at Richland-Bean Blossom Health Care Center in Ellettsville, Indiana.

Born August 6, 1937 in Monroe County, Indiana the daughter of Noble Lloyd Anderson and Violet Irene (Bowers) Anderson.

Joan was retired from RCA; she was a member of the Solsberry Christian Church, Young at Heart at the Church, she loved to read, crochet, spend time with the grandchildren and listen to music.

Surviving relatives include her two daughters, Teresa (Jerry) Crichfield, Linda (Steve) Basore, son-in-law, Jeff Taylor, eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two brothers, Jim Anderson, Richard Anderson, and two sisters, Janice Chaney, Carolyn Smith and several nieces and nephews.

Joan was preceded in death by her husband Orville DeWayne “Peanut” Bland on May 6, 2016, one daughter, Connie Taylor, two brothers, Joe Anderson, John Anderson, one nephew Steve Anderson and her parents.

Visitation will be held on Monday December 1, 2025 from 11 A.M. until the hour of service at the Solsberry Christian Church.

Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. at the Church with Jordan Basore officiating. Burial will follow at Solsberry Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that all memorial donations be made to the Solsberry Christian Church in Joan’s name.
