Read MoreLast week a story was posted about the arrest on October 20 by LPD of a suspicious man who was asleep behind the wheel of a vehicle parked in a public place in Linton. The same man was arrested on October 12 in Sullivan County by ISP following a foot pursuit through several residential yards. He was accused of being in possession of syringes, cocaine, methamphetamine and bath salts. A few days later, he posted $2,800 and was released on bond only to get arrested in Greene County a few days after that. Last Friday, October 21, his bond was revoked in Sullivan County and a warrant for his arrest was issued out of Sullivan County. Nila Gayle (Hamlin) Talbot, 98, of Washington, IN passed away at 1:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at Prairie Village in Washington, IN.
Randall Dale Bingham, 89, of Linton, passed away peacefully on the evening of July 4, 2026, at Glenburn Home, leaving behind a life marked by quiet strength, steady devotion, and deep love for his family. Born March 14, 1937, in Tulip, Indiana, Dale was the son of Bennie and Pansy Birchie (Mishler) Bingham, and he carried the values of hard work and humility with him throughout his life.
Robert “Bob” Blaker, 88, of Linton, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at his residence. He was born in Pontiac, Michigan on July 20, 1937, the son of Robert and Ilene (Taylor) Blaker. He had two sisters, Judy and Rosalie, and he was the middle child.
Charles D. ‘Chuck’ Moss II, of Linton, Indiana, passed from this life with his family by his side, on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born on February 27, 1955, in Sullivan, Indiana to Charles D. ‘Dow’ and Marcelene L. (Debaun) Moss. Chuck married his loving wife, Debbie Jo (Wilkerson) Moss on November 3, 1978.
Robert Bradley Ellis, 81, of Bloomfield, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2026 at the Gibson Family Center for Hospice in Terre Haute. Born November 16, 1944 in Sullivan, Indiana, he was the son of Robert and Cora (Ransford) Ellis.

Melvin Lee Bruner, 70, of Bloomfield, finished his journey in this life at 9:40 PM on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Redcrest IU Hospice House in Bloomington, and was relocated to his home in Heaven with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was born on September 18, 1955, in Rochester, Indiana, Melvin was the son of Robert and Mary (Carpenter) Bruner.
