Randall Dale Bingham
/Randall Dale Bingham, 89, of Linton, passed away peacefully on the evening of July 4, 2026, at Glenburn Home, leaving behind a life marked by quiet strength, steady devotion, and deep love for his family. Born March 14, 1937, in Tulip, Indiana, Dale was the son of Bennie and Pansy Birchie (Mishler) Bingham, and he carried the values of hard work and humility with him throughout his life.
Dale proudly served his country in the United States Army, an experience that reflected his sense of duty and commitment. He dedicated over 39 years of his life to General Electric, building not just a career but a reputation for reliability and dedication. After retirement, Dale spent another 23 years working at Walmart in Linton, where many knew him for his steady presence and friendly nature.
Dale found joy in the simple and meaningful things in life. He loved farming and working outdoors, always happiest with his hands busy and the fresh air around him. Maintaining his property, watching westerns, and time shared with his family were among his greatest pleasures. Above all else, Dale cherished his role as a husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, taking pride in the family he helped build and nurture.
He leaves behind a loving family who will carry his memory forward: his children, Rita Cox; Randy (Catherine) Bingham; Renee (Jeff) Bellman; and Roxann (Todd) Chapman. His legacy continues through his grandchildren - Kayla (Chase) Rhoten, Kurtis Cox, Karter (Sierra) Cox, Konner Cox, Taylor Bingham, Caitlin (Stephen) Crowley, Nicholas Bingham, Joelle (Jon) Anderson, Jillian (Elijah) Boyette, Jesse (Emilee) Bellman, Jenna (Truman) Brubaker, and Janessa Bellman - as well as his cherished great-grandchildren, Renlee Rhoten, Rhett Rhoten, Lorelei Cox, Brayleigh Crowley, Ryleigh Crowley, Aiden Crowley, Jack Anderson, Jace Anderson, Jayna Anderson, Kaden Boyette, and Karson Boyette, with another great-granddaughter due in July. He is also survived by his sister, Ima Ruth Patton.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Janice (Bovenschen) Bingham; his grandson, Kristian Cox; and his brother, Donald Rex Bingham. Though he is gone from this life, his steady presence, strong work ethic, and love for his family will remain a lasting influence on all who knew him.
A funeral service to celebrate Dale's life will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton, of Walton Funeral Service, at 11:00 AM Thursday, July 9, 2026, with Pastor Phillip Turner officiating. Burial will follow at Olive Branch Cemetery in Linton. Military honors will be provided by the American Legion Post #22 of Linton.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00 - 8:00 PM, and 10:00 AM until the time of service.
