Greene County Clerk accepting applications for opening in Voter Registration Office

The Greene County Clerk is accepting applications/resumes for the full-time position of Election Board Assistant/Research, located in Bloomfield, Indiana, within the courthouse.  Voter Registration is required to have both a Democrat and Republican in this office, and the Republican position is now open.  The duties include, but are not limited to, processing voter registration applications, updating voter information, helping determine the supplies needed for elections, and assisting candidates filing for office.  The chosen applicant would also be responsible for processing absentee voting applications, assisting the Election Board with tabulating voting totals, as well as helping to certify vote totals that will be sent to the Secretary of State’s office.  Will also perform other duties as needed in the Clerk’s office.  The position pays at the annual rate of $35,908.60.  For more information on the position you may contact the Greene County Clerk at 812-384-8532.  To be considered for employment, applications/resumes must be turned into the Clerk’s office no later than 4:00 p.m. Thursday, March 23, 2023.  Greene County is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

2022 Primary Election Mail-in Absentee Application Deadline is Today

INDIANAPOLIS (April 21, 2022) – Indiana Secretary of State Holli Sullivan is reminding Hoosiers that today, Thursday, April 21st, is the final day for a circuit court clerk to receive an absentee ballot application from an applicant requesting delivery of an absentee ballot by mail. The application to request a mail-in ballot must be received no later than 11:59 p.m., 12 days before the election. Applications may be submitted to the circuit court clerk in person or by mail, fax, email, or online through the Indiana Voter Portal at IndianaVoters.com.
