A crash involving one vehicle claimed the life of a Linton woman on State Road 54 near County Road 230 North yesterday afternoon. Other drivers who witnessed the crash said they were almost hit by the vehicle that traveled off the roadway, hit a mailbox, ramped a driveway then crossed the highway and landed in a ditch.

Few details were released at that time. More details emerged today when the FOP filed a civil case against McDonald alleging over $28,000 in funds have been “misappropriated” during the time McDonald served as the organization’s treasurer.

UPDATE: When Ferree appeared in Greene Superior Court for his initial hearing via two-way video on Tuesday, September 28, his bond was set at $80,000 with ten percent cash allowed. Ferree was represented by an attorney from Indianapolis. He has since posted $8,000 and been released from custody.
