When deputies arrived to arrest a rural Bloomfield woman on a warrant, they found her hiding under a bed and they arrested another person in the residence on drug charges.

GCSD Det. Shawn Cullison reported Elizabeth Ann Fields, 39, was reported missing around 5 p.m. on Monday, July 5. She is 5’ 3” tall, 120 pounds, and has brown hair and blue eyes. The only clothing description given was that she was wearing shorts and a shirt, no color specified, when she left on foot and was last seen in the area of State Road 54 and Warren Road.

James A. Wilson, 86, of Bloomfield passed away Sunday August 23, 2026 at his residence surrounded by his family.
William Joseph “Bill” Maden, 88, of Bloomfield, IN. passed away peacefully at home on August 21, 2026. He was born in Linton, IN July 28, 1938, the son of William Oscar Maden and Edith M. (Weaver) Maden.
Richard Scott Lawson, also known as "Red", passed away suddenly on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at his home in rural Bloomfield, near Worthington. He was born in Indianapolis on May 2, 1965, the son of Richard K. and Billie (Reed) Lawson.
Dr. John Peter Kardynalczyk, age 71, of Linton, passed away in Linton on Sunday, August 9, 2026. He was born in Hamilton, Canada on June 19, 1955, the son of Josef and Helga (Christoph) Kardynalczk.
Neva Janice Robinson, 81, of Bloomfied, Indiana, went to Heaven on August 21, 2026 at Greene County General Hospital in Linton, Indiana. She was born on December 11, 1944 in Odon, Indiana to Herschel A. and Kathryn (Trueblood) Shafer. Neva married Donald L. Robinson on May 30, 1964.
