Two men suspected in multiple burglaries were busted on Saturday after deputies followed tracks through the snow. In initial interviews, both suspects blamed the other one. Deputies recovered a significant number of valuable items for victims, but one gun safe was found in a creek. The investigation is ongoing. GCSD is asking anyone who may have been the victim of a recent burglary to contact the sheriff’s department.

"The street department in Linton is working as hard as they can to address the condition of the roads, but Mother Nature is working faster," said Clark.
"If you have to be out, be cautious and allow extra time and extra space, and drive at a very, very, very cautious pace."
Clark also advises drivers to be mindful of any utility workers who might need to be working outside during this storm.

Use caution if you must travel. Wear appropriate clothing and keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
The Indiana Department of Transportation is deploying more than 1,100 plow trucks over the next 48 hours to plow and treat interstates, U.S. routes and state roads as nearly all of Indiana is expected to receive significant snow accumulation from a major winter storm.
