Three maroon vehicles were involved in an accident in mid-January caused by slick and icy road conditions. No injuries were reported but one driver is facing misdemeanor charges.

Wesley Holloman, Jr., 53, Bloomfield, was one of three drivers involved in an accident on State Road 54, east of Bloomfield on Sunday evening, January 17.

Deputy Michael Stanley of the Greene County Sheriff’s Department was dispatched at 7:31 p.m. and reported a maroon Pontiac Torrent slid on the ice.

Holloman, the driver of a maroon 2006 Chevrolet HHR, said he was going 25 mph when he saw the Pontiac sliding and he reacted by turning quickly and braking. He lost complete control of his vehicle and started to spin.

The maroon HHR then collided into a maroon 2000 Ford F250 which pushed the Ford truck off the road.

The Pontiac was not damaged and was able to be driven away after it was dislodged.

Two towing services arrived to retrieve the HHR and the Ford truck.

Deputy Stanley reported the license plate on the HHR was fictitious and Holloman had no insurance and his driver’s license was suspended, and that he has previous judgements for driving while suspended and operating a motor vehicle without insurance.

A family member arrived to give the occupants of the Ford truck a ride home and Deputy Stanley gave Holloman a ride to his home.

But information was submitted to the prosecutor’s office and a case was filed this week charging Holloman with: Driving while suspended – a knowing violation with a prior conviction within 10 years, a Class A misdemeanor, and operating a motor vehicle without financial responsibility with a prior, a Class C misdemeanor.

And yes, according to the affidavit prepared by Deputy Stanley, all three vehicles involved in the crash were maroon in color.
