Statewide COVID-19 stats as of Monday, July 13, at 12 noon; Greene County up to 199 confirmed cases

The last time the COVID-19 stats were posted on GreeneStreets was July 1. On that day, Greene County was reporting 184 confirmed cases and 31 deaths with 2,012 tested and posting stopped because the numbers seemed to be steady compared to some of the earlier weeks. Stats show some increases since July 1. As of 12 noon, Monday, July 13, when the Indiana Department of Health announced the statewide COVID-19 stats, the data shows Greene County with a total of 199 confirmed cases and 32 deaths reported to the state, with a total of 2,341 tested. Of those tested, some results may not yet be received or reported and included in the data. The new statewide counts are released once a day, at 12 p.m.

UPDATE - SHE HAS BEEN LOCATED.... Woman missing in Greene County; GCSD asks for information from public

The Greene County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a missing person. Allisann Jayne, 24, was last seen on Wednesday, July 8, by a family member, and a different family member spoke to her on Thursday, July 9.

GCSD Deputy Jordan Gooding reported Allisann was last seen leaving a residence in Crane Village in a silver 2001 Honda Civic with rear-end damage. Allisann told family members she was going to a residence in Scotland but she did not go there.

Allisann Jayne is approximately 5’ 3” and 145 lbs. with green eyes and blonde hair.

Deputy Gooding said her destination of travel is unknown at this time.

Anyone with information about Allisann Jayne’s whereabouts is asked to call the Greene County Sheriff’s Department at 812-384-4411.

Yesterday in court, a judge denied a Switz City man’s request for his bond to be reduced. In mid-June, he was one of two people arrested after a search of their Switz City home allegedly turned up illegal substances and drug paraphernalia. They said they were unemployed, but between the two of them, they were carrying over $5,600 in cash.
