Brandon Adam Christopher Lee Criss, 34, Linton, was arrested by Officer Adam King of the Linton Police Department early Saturday, July 4.

LPD Officer Kyle Robison, the investigating officer, and Officer King started an investigation into a domestic altercation around 9:30 p.m. on Friday, July 3, that involved Criss as a suspect. Before they arrived, they were informed that Criss has left the scene on foot and an alleged victim was on her way to Greene County General Hospital for treatment of injuries she received.

Criss allegedly hit the woman in the face several times then in the chest and the stomach. She was treated in the hospital for a fractured nose, contusions to the face and eyes, bleeding and extreme pain.

Around 10:41 p.m., the officers located Criss on foot, near 3rd Street NW and A Street SW in Linton. Officer Robison reported Criss was stumbling on the sidewalk, falling down in the grass then onto the sidewalk. They detected the odor of alcohol and said Criss was slurring his words.

Criss was taken into custody then transported to Greene County General for a medical clearance before being transported to jail. While at the hospital, Criss allegedly tried to kick Officer King and said, “I am going to kill you officers.” He had to be restrained in the emergency room for treatment.

After clearance, Criss was booked into jail at 1:12 a.m. on the Fourth of July. Bond information was not available, but on Monday night, he was still in jail.

Criss is facing preliminary charges of domestic battery resulting in serious bodily injury, a Level 5 felony, and intimidation, a Level 6 felony. A date for an initial hearing has not yet been set.
