A Lyons man accused of dealing methamphetamine was arrested last spring, bonded out of jail, then didn’t show up for a pre-trial conference as required. Warrant issued, arrested again, and this time, held without bond. He filed a motion to set bond, and the judge ruled on Wednesday.

INDIANAPOLIS – Governor Eric J. Holcomb is directing flags across the state to be flown at half-staff to honor the victims of the tragedy at Borderline Bar and Grill in Thousand Oaks, California. Flags should be flown at half-staff from now until sunset on Saturday, November 10, 2018. Gov. Holcomb also asks businesses and residents to lower their flags to half-staff.

Within the past month, police in two counties received at least four reports, possibly more, of threatening behavior by a Linton man toward more than one person. On Sunday, he allegedly threw a brick through a woman’s window after he said he was going to cut her up with a knife. Linton police officers put him in jail.

It took a while, but when Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy James Carpenter was notified of a match between the DNA of a convicted auto thief from Indianapolis and DNA obtained off bicycle handlebars, found where a truck had been stolen in Greene County, a warrant was issued for the suspect’s arrest.
