Tammy White, age 55, of Linton, passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at her residence. She was born in Linton, IN on January 30, 1970, the daughter of Delbert & Karen (Landis) Ferree.

She was a graduate of Linton Stockton High School. She worked as a dental hygienist for several years. She had a soft spot in her heart for animals and would help any in need if she could. She had a heart of gold and would help friends and family in any way she could.

Tammy is survived by her mother, Karen Ferree of Linton; aunts and uncles, George (Donna) Ferree, John (Reita) Ferree, Bob (Loretta) Ferree, Dennis (Milka) Ferree, Ron (Paula) Ferree, Frank (Paula) Ferree, Sally Baize, Lois (Ralston) Hudson, Janet Moyer, Aloma Ferree and Martha Landis; best friends, Chanin Reed and Shellie Hauck; mother-in-law, Toby Bowersock; sister-in-law, Tracy (Bill) Hamilton; a brother-in-law, Todd White; a nephew, Stephen (Anthony Weaver) Cooksey; a niece, Nichole (Zach) Alexander; great-nieces and nephews, Bria Alexander, Hendrix Alexander and Layni Alexander, as well as several other nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Delbert Ferree; maternal grandparents, Red Landis and Vivian Landis; paternal grandparents, Albert and Thelma Ferree as well as uncles, Bill Baize, Dave Ferree, Ivan Ferree, Gilbert Ferree, Kenneth Landis, Jerry Landis and Roger Landis.

Funeral service will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton, of Walton Funeral Service, at 7:00 PM on Monday, January 19, 2025, with Pastor Kathy Ottinger officiating. Visitation will be held Monday from 5:00 PM until the time of service.

Memorial donations may be made to the Greene County Humane Society, through the funeral home.
