Zowie Rayne Padgett, 18, of Jasonville, IN passed away on Monday, January 5, 2026 at her home.

She was born May 29, 2007 in Terre Haute, IN to Jerry L. Padgett and Kylee B. (Turley) Buskirk.

Survivors include her mother, Kylee Buskirk (Brandon) of Jasonville, IN, father, Jerry Padgett of Linton, IN; siblings, Zayne Padgett of Linton, IN, Pixie Powell of Jasonville, IN, E’rie Buskirk of Jasonville, IN, Omen Buskirk of Jasonville, IN, Amelia Powell of Jasonville, IN, Draven Buskirk of Linton, IN, Briar Powell of Jasonville, IN; maternal grandmother, Tracy Reeves (Roger Burris) of Coalmont, IN, paternal grandmother, Coleen Padget, grandfather, William Grant Steele; aunts and uncles, Scott Padgett (Andrea) of Linton, IN, Andrea Stewart of Jasonville, IN, Tyler Turley (Shawna) of Linton, IN, Amber Hollinghead of Indianapolis, IN, Marissa Goda of Clinton, IN, Alex Keller of Linton, IN, Ally Keller of Linton, Misti and Kris Johns of Walton, IN, Ben Buskirk (Bree Thompson) of Jasonville, IN; some great-aunts and uncles; several cousins, Kole Padgett, Kaulin Padgett and Kaiden Shelton; other family and friends, Kenny & Cindy Buskirk, Melissa, Chad and Krista Goodson, Ciera, Jayla, Mariah and JoJo Brown, Brittney Franklin and family, Amber Branson and family, Eddie and Shannon and family and many, many other friends.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandmother, Alice Griffith; maternal great-grandmother, Patricia George; maternal great-grandfather, Peck Fougerousse; uncle Ryan Turley, aunt Teresa George, uncle Mark George, uncle T.J. Willard, cousins, Crystal George, Kaylee Moore.

Zowie worked as a CNA at Glenburn Nursing Home. She loved working and helping others and being around people. Zowie was very social and loved being with her many friends. She enjoyed reading and loved shopping for clothes. She loved nature and being outdoors and going mushroom hunting with her mom. She especially loved music and being with friends and family.

Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation is scheduled from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday January 12, 2026 and 9 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the Funeral Home. Services are 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 13, 2026.

Interment will be at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland, IN.
