UPDATE with BOND INFO: When Eric Cullum appeared in Greene Circuit Court earlier today for his initial hearing, his bond was set at $50,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed. He has since posted bond and been released from the Greene County Jail…………. When members of the Greene County Task Force swooped in with a search warrant for a Lyons residence early last Friday, they seized over 60 grams of methamphetamine, an assortment of pills and drug-dealing supplies plus cash, and they arrested four individuals plus another person taken into custody during an earlier traffic stop.

When an LPD officer responded to a Sunday night report of a man in black wearing a fedora and carrying a cane while blocking highway traffic and barking at people, a scuffle ensued and the suspect allegedly tried to get hold of the officer’s weapon while threatening to kill him. Unfortunately, the small percentage of people who choose not to buckle up make up a disproportionate amount of the fatalities that occur every year on Indiana roads. It’s a concern that more than 200 Indiana police agencies will be working to address this spring by participating in the national Click It or Ticket enforcement campaign. Now until June 6, officers will be out in greater numbers seeking to educate motorists about the importance of wearing a seat belt.

IN CUSTODY: Suspect accused of brutally beating a man with a club in March

UPDATE with ARREST: Scott Douglas Stahl, 43, Bloomfield, is in custody. Stahl was booked into the Greene County Jail yesterday, Thursday, May 13, at 5:51 p.m. Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy Terry Wade was the arresting officer. Stahl is accused of brutally beating another man with a club last March. Since a warrant was issued for his arrest on March 25, Stahl was believed to be hiding out or on the run while law enforcement was actively looking for him. The warrant remained outstanding until yesterday.

Bond for one suspect has been set at $50,000 cash only and bond for the other suspect has been set at $30,000 cash only.
