Bloomfield women arrested by FBI for role in Capitol violence

Two area women were arrested Wednesday, February 24, on multiple charges in connection with the violence at the U.S. Capitol on January 6. According to FBI Indianapolis, both women are from Bloomfield.

Dona Sue Bissey, 52, and Anna Morgan-Lloyd, 49, Bloomfield, were taken into custody on charges that included knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority, violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds.

Information about their actions on January 6 have not yet been released.

Both were reported to have been booked into the Vigo County Jail. They are expected to appear in a federal courtroom on Friday morning for initial hearings.

There’s a warrant out for a suspect who’s currently incarcerated in another county. He’s accused of driving into Greene County from up north, stealing a pickup truck and trailer from a Greene County business, loading up his own vehicle on the trailer and driving off. The truck and trailer were recovered in a GCSD investigation.

An inmate at the Greene County Jail was accused of getting into a physical altercation with jail officers in December and was charged with battery with injury, a Level 5 felony, and battery by bodily waste, a Level 6 felony. Last October he was arrested after an altercation with an LPD officer. Now he’s accused of battery to jail officer in another altercation this month. In court yesterday, he declined a public defender and said he will represent himself.

Greene County Clerk Stuart Dowden has announced that the Greene County Clerk is accepting applications/resumes for the full-time position of Chief Deputy Circuit Court Clerk, located in the Greene County courthouse. The duties include, but are not limited to, processing court cases, entering judgments, sending notices, and filing court documents. They also assist phone and counter customers as needed. In addition, they are responsible for all financial bookkeeping, which are reviewed by State Board of Accounts, as well as the State Auditor. When the Clerk is out of the office, they assume the duties of the Clerk. The position pays at the annual rate of $36,818.00.
