An initial hearing did not go well for the rural Bloomfield man who threatened officers saying he was going to call higher-ups and the Klan. He spouted off in court, disrespecting the judge of Greene Superior Court who found him in contempt and sentenced him to 90 days in jail with no good time credit.

UPDATE with one arrest: Warrants remain outstanding for two men on drug charges

When officers arrived at a motel room in early July to check on two men believed to have overdosed on illegal drugs, they reported finding methamphetamine, heroin and paraphernalia scattered around the room. The men were unconscious. They were taken to the hospital by ambulance. Now they’re facing drug charges, with warrants out for their arrest. STORY UPDATE: One of two men wanted on drug charges was arrested last night, Thursday, August 27, by Officer Adam King of the Linton Police Department. James Robert Kent, 33, Switz City, was booked into the Greene County Jail at 10:44 p.m. and was being held without bond pending his appearance in court.
