A Greene County man considered a serious violent felon, allegedly carrying a firearm in each hand, was spotted at a firearms show by a firearms collector who happened to be GCSD detective. The suspect was arrested Monday and is now facing new criminal charges – serious violent felons are not allowed to possess guns.

Suspected meth dealer leads ISP trooper in pursuit; Deputies from three counties assist

When Indiana State Police troopers investigating a man suspected of dealing methamphetamine located him near the Greene County Chapel yesterday afternoon, the man fled, starting a pursuit through Greene County then Owen County to the Monroe County line. When the suspect was apprehended in a field off McVille Road, he allegedly had approximately 130 grams of meth in his possession, and a lot of cash.

Deputies investigating a burglary found the stolen goods they were looking for when they executed a search warrant in the Solsberry area. They also reported finding drugs, and children sleeping in the same room where the controlled substances and related paraphernalia were located.

Suspect allegedly dropped his drugs as he was leaving the courthouse

There’s a warrant out for a man who allegedly dropped two clear plastic bags as he was leaving the Greene County Courthouse. Both contained white substances that field-tested positive as methamphetamine. Security officers found the bags then checked footage from surveillance video systems which showed who dropped the drugs.

Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy Davis Aerne and Det. Sgt. James O’Malley are investigating an accident involving a vehicle that hit and seriously injured a pedestrian north of Linton. It happened between 3 and 4 a.m. They’re asking for help from the public to find the suspect vehicle and identify the driver.

When deputies responded to an alarm at a business in eastern Greene County, one encountered a vehicle leaving the property. The driver had a warrant out for his arrest and is now facing new criminal charges for allegedly not telling the truth about his real name and for dealing methamphetamine.
