Sunday afternoon event to benefit Linton woman paralyzed in August hit-and-run crash

The lives of a Linton couple with three young children were turned upside down in August. As a result of a tragic hit-and-run crash, Heather Reeves remains in intensive care in an Indianapolis hospital where she’s making progress but has been given a zero-chance of ever walking again. Her husband, Aaron Evans, seriously injured but now released from a Terre Haute hospital, is still recovering from his injuries. Now, a cousin and other family members, friends and the community are coming together to host a benefit this Sunday to help the couple put their lives back in order.

Victim of fatal I-69 crash identified

ISP Trooper John Yung’s investigation has identified Kathleen Marie Hansen, 49 of 913 Rose St, Corpus Christi, Texas as the driver and sole occupant of the 2000 Dodge Pickup truck. Sgt. Curt Durnil of ISP Bloomington Post announced the identification around 3 p.m. Tuesday, December 17. Sgt. Durnil said Hansen suffered fatal internal injuries resulting from the crash that occurred on 12/11/2019 on I69 near the 92 mile marker in Greene County.

Saturday crash on Lone Tree Road and SR 48 results in fatality

One man lost his life and one woman suffered multiple injuries and was transported via AirEvac in a crash involving two vehicles around 5 p.m. Saturday on County Road 1000 West, also known as Lone Tree Road, and State Road 48. Richard T. Neighbors, 45, of Bowling Green, Kentucky, was pronounced deceased as a result of his injuries. He was transported to Greene County General Hospital by Greene County Ambulance E4.
