The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a road closure for State Road 54 in Sullivan and Greene County. Beginning on or around Monday, August 3, crews will begin a road closure on State Road 54 between Sullivan and Dugger. This closure will occur between U.S. 41 and State Road 59.

This road closure will allow for a chip and seal road maintenance project. Work is expected to take two weeks to complete. Local traffic will retain access during this project. Local traffic will be controlled by a flagger. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones.

Once water service has been restored and repairs are complete, the entire water system will remain under a boil water advisory until further notice. Customers will be notified when water service has been restored and again when the boil water advisory has been lifted. Additional updates will be provided as information becomes available.
