Organizers of Greene County National Night Out are inviting local businesses, organizations and community members to help make this year's event a success by becoming sponsors, hosting resource tables or donating items.

National Night Out will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4, at Humphreys Park in Linton. The event is hosted by the Greene County Alliance and the Linton Police Department as part of a nationwide initiative designed to strengthen relationships between law enforcement and the communities they serve.

Organizers are currently seeking financial sponsors, community resource vendors and in-kind donations to support the family-friendly event.

Businesses and organizations that host resource tables will have the opportunity to connect with local families while sharing information about the services and programs they offer. Sponsors and donors will play a key role in helping provide activities, giveaways and other attractions throughout the evening.

Those interested in becoming a sponsor, reserving a resource table or making a donation can register online using the National Night Out Sponsor, Resource Table, and Donation Form.

The annual event will feature local law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMS personnel, community organizations, children's activities, games, giveaways, food, and refreshments. Organizers hope the evening continues to strengthen partnerships and foster positive relationships throughout Greene County while providing a fun experience for families of all ages.
