Water restored for Jasonville customers, boil order advisory in effect

Water service has been restored to all Jasonville Utilities customers following repairs to a water main that was damaged Thursday.

Although service has resumed, all Jasonville water customers remain under a boil water advisory until further notice, according to the Jasonville Water Department.

The advisory was issued in consultation with the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) as a precaution due to a drinking water issue within the system.

Customers are advised to:

  • Bring all water used for drinking and cooking to a rolling boil for three to five minutes before use.

  • Continue boiling water until the advisory is officially lifted.

  • Conserve water by using only what is necessary for household and personal needs while the system recovers.

The advisory will remain in effect until water quality testing confirms the system is safe for normal use. Jasonville Utilities will notify customers when the boil water advisory has been lifted.

Customers with questions may contact the Jasonville Water Department at (812) 665-3285.
