A 63-year-old Worthington woman is facing multiple felony and misdemeanor charges after police allege she battered a male individual, prevented him from leaving their home and later drove while intoxicated.

Tamara S. Marsh has been charged with Level 6 felony criminal confinement, Level 6 felony operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a prior conviction within seven years, Class A misdemeanor domestic battery, Class A misdemeanor interference with the reporting of a crime, and Class C misdemeanor operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

According to a probable cause affidavit filed by Worthington Town Marshal Jeremy Brinkman, he was dispatched to a residence on Christ Street on July 22 for a report of a physical domestic dispute.

Upon arrival, he spoke with the victim, who told police Marsh had left the residence in a black Chrysler 300 after allegedly assaulting him. The victim also reported that Marsh had been drinking before driving away.

The affidavit states Brinkman observed redness and bleeding on the victim’s elbow, along with scratches on his side and back.

The victim told the officer the argument began after he declined to eat a sandwich Marsh had prepared. According to the affidavit, Marsh allegedly threw the sandwich at him while he was in bed before later throwing a shot glass containing an alcoholic beverage at him while he sat on the couch.

The victim told Brinkman he attempted to call 911, but Marsh allegedly took his cellphone before he could place the call. When he tried to leave the residence to seek help, the victim said Marsh blocked both available exits, preventing him from leaving. During one attempt to leave, Marsh allegedly shoved him, causing both of them to fall to the floor.

Officers documented food on the bedroom floor and bed, along with the sandwich, spilled liquid and a shot glass in the living room that investigators said were consistent with the victim’s account.

While the officer was still at the residence, Marsh called the victim’s cellphone. After speaking with her, Brinkman went to another residence in Worthington where Marsh said she was staying.

According to the affidavit, officers observed dried blood on Marsh's shirt, minor injuries to her knee and knuckle, and signs of intoxication, including the odor of alcohol, slurred speech and difficulty recalling details of the incident.

Marsh initially told police a friend had driven her from the Christ Street residence. However, investigators said the friend later stated Marsh had driven herself. Officers located Marsh's Chrysler parked behind the residence where she was found.

Marsh told police she had not consumed any alcohol after arriving at the residence and admitted she had been drinking before leaving the Christ Street home, according to the affidavit.

Brinkman administered field sobriety tests. The affidavit states Marsh displayed six of six clues on the horizontal gaze nystagmus test. Additional balance tests were discontinued because of medical conditions. Marsh also submitted to a portable breath test, which registered a blood alcohol concentration of 0.121%, according to court documents.

Marsh was arrested and transported to Greene County General Hospital, where a blood sample was obtained before she was booked into the Greene County Jail.

Court records indicate Marsh was on probation for a previous operating while intoxicated conviction at the time of her arrest. That prior judgment was entered Dec. 17, 2025, in Greene Superior Court.
