Mobile food pantry, free health screenings set for Monday in Linton
/Residents are invited to attend a drive-thru Mobile Food Pantry on Monday, July 20, at Linton Humphreys Park, where free food distribution and health screenings will be available.
The event begins at 10 a.m. at the park, located at 1300 A St. NE, and food distribution will continue until noon or while supplies last.
Free health screenings will be offered inside the West Shelter House through Hoosier Health Check, including:
A1c testing
Cholesterol screenings
Blood pressure checks
Food and nutrition education
The Mobile Food Pantry is coordinated by Empowering With Passion Consulting in partnership with several community organizations, including Terre Haute Catholic Charities Foodbank, Walmart, Meng Family Funeral Homes, Families Forever, French Financial, Feeding America, Indiana University Center for Community Engaged Dissemination and Implementation Research, and the City of Linton.
Community members interested in volunteering are encouraged to sign up using the volunteer registration link or QR code provided on the event flyer.
