Application for vendors to participate in National Night Out due in to LPD on Wednesday

This year’s National Night Out in Linton’s Humphreys Park, hosted by the Linton Police Department, is coming up on Tuesday, August 7, but the sign-up deadline for vendors, departments, agencies and community organizations that want to participate is this Wednesday, July 25.

ISP in 6-State Trooper Project to target violations of Move Over law starting this weekend

Starting this weekend, troopers from the Indiana State Police, along with Troopers from Ohio, West Virginia, Kentucky, Michigan and Pennsylvania, will be conducting state-wide patrols targeting violations of the “Move Over” law. This effort begins this Sunday July 22.

In a case first reported to the LPD then investigated by GCSD Det. Sgt. James O’Malley, a man, who babysits children and is suspected of inappropriate contact with a three-year-old child at the suspect’s apartment in Switz City, allegedly admitted to the allegations after a polygraph exam.
