Anthony "Tony" Wayne White
/Anthony "Tony" Wayne White, age 57, of Linton, passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at his residence. He was born in Linton, IN on November 24, 1968, the son of George "Leo" White & Forresta (Coulter) Bowersock.
Tony was a graduate of Linton Stockton High School and after graduation he enlisted in the United States Army for a short time before going to Vincennes University where he graduated and achieved his Registered Nursing Degree and then also attended Indiana University. He worked for Bloomington Hospital in the Adolescent Psychiatric Unit for several years as a nurse and always had a passion for helping people and taking care of his patients. He then went on to work as a nurse at a couple other health facilities before coming back to serve the Linton community at Glenburn Home on the Alzheimer's special care unit for the past few years. Tony was an avid super hero fan and especially loved the Incredible Hulk and was also a big Philadelphia Flyers hockey fan and loved spending time with his family as often as he could.
Tony is survived by his mother, Forresta "Toby" (Coulter) Bowersock of Linton; sister, Tracy (Bill) Hamilton of Linton; brother, Todd White of Loveland, OH; nieces, Nicole (Zachery) Alexander of Linton and Michele Bohnert of Evansville; nephew, Stephen (Anthony Weaver) Cooksey of Brookhaven, PA; great nieces and nephew, Bria Alexander, Hendrix Alexander and Layni Alexander; mother-in-law, Karen Ferree as well as several cousins, aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his father; wife, Tammy (Ferree) White; father-in-law, Delbert Ferree; maternal grandparents, Forrest & Mary Ann Coulter and paternal grandmother, Bessie White.
Memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home of Walton Funeral Service, Inc on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.
Memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday at the funeral home from 5:00 pm until the time of service.
Memorial contributions may be made to S.A.F.E. Animal Rescue, INC (Linton, IN) or the Greene County Humane Society through the funeral home.
