Lightning strike delays the day for GreeneStreets

A lightning strike early this morning, somewhere behind us then another one somewhere in front, rattled the windows and frazzled human nerves. And fried the modem and a few other things. Like a carbon monoxide gas detector with a shrill alarm that kept going off and registered high gas level no matter how many times it was reset with doors open and outside air coming in. Then no internet as modem was dead as a door nail. That’s been the day so far. I want to thank everyone who responded to make sure there was no gas leak. GCSD Deputy Harvey Holt was first to arrive followed by the Worthington Fire Department and then the guys from Community Natural Gas. And thanks go to Sparklight for getting a tech guy out here and replacing the modem today! It’s almost 4 p.m. and I just got the essentials connected to a new network. Rain, rain, go away!
